Aleksandr Subbotin Obituary, Death -Aleksandr Subbotin, a former official with LUKoil, passed away under mysterious circumstances. On April 21, Vagit Alekperov, the founder and co-owner of LUKoil, which is Russia’s largest private oil company, resigned after Australia and the UK sanctioned him for Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine. LUKoil is Russia’s largest private oil company.
