Brooke Ritchey Obituary, Lexington KY, Brooke Ritchey Has Died

Brooke Ritchey Obituary, Death – Brooke Ritchey, a Crisis Counselor at Ampersand Sexual Violence Resource Center of the Bluegrass has died. She studied Human Services Counseling at Bluegrass Community and Technical College (BCTC). Brooke lived in Nicholasville, Kentucky. It is a peculiar experience to have both brothers and sisters. You are each other’s best friend, but at the same time, there are times when the other of you is the person who drives you the most crazy. It took me a while to reach the point where I was mature enough to become friends with you because of the 12-year age gap between us.

That is a friendship that will always be held in the highest regard by me. You are to blame for a great number of firsts that have taken place in my life. You were the one who, whenever I was feeling brave, would push me a little further in the direction of courage. You were the one who helped me become more courageous. You were there for me when I needed someone to be on my side one hundred percent, and you acted as a sounding board for me. When I look at you, it’s almost as if I’m looking at myself in a mirror.  I love that about you. Because God is reportedly quoted in the Bible as saying “Copy and paste,” everyone in my hometown knew that I was a Butler when I was a kid. Which is something that might also have played a role in the fact that we collided with one another at times.

Because of how powerful my feelings are, it is challenging for me to adequately express the profound and unending love that I have for you. Since you’ve been gone, the sun doesn’t shine quite as brightly, my heart doesn’t feel quite as complete, and I will never stop loving or missing you even though we are no longer together. I am indebted to you for loving everything and everyone with such a profound level of dedication, and I am grateful to you for demonstrating to me how I can achieve that same level of love in my own life. I will approach life with the same amount of bravery and determination that you did when you were going through it. Find a good clover field, and when I get there, we’ll head out together to look for some four-leaf clovers in the field that you found. Brooke Ritchey, until the day that we are reunited, I will think of you often and miss you very much.
