Charles Coburn Obituary, Charles Coburn Has Died In Fatal RV Collision

Charles Coburn Obituary, Death – According to a summary of the fatal accident that was released early on Wednesday morning by the Arkansas Department of Public Safety, a man from Hot Springs was driving a pickup truck when it crashed through the fence of a local RV park off Thornton Ferry Road on Tuesday, killing another local resident and injuring another when it collided with two parked RVs. Charles Coburn, 81, a resident of Hot Springs, Arkansas, was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision that took place just before 4:30 p.m. at the Lake Hamilton RV Resort located at 3027 Albert Pike Road after it was determined by the Garland County coroner that he was killed in the collision. Daniel Chavez, 37, from Hot Springs was driving south on Thornton Ferry Road in a 2018 Ford F-250 truck when it crossed left of center, exited the road on the north side at 173 Thornton Ferry, crashed through a fence, and collided with a parked RV that Coburn was inside of. Coburn was killed in the collision. Coburn passed away as a result of the accident.
Because of the force of the impact, the recreational vehicle that was being driven by Coburn collided with another recreational vehicle that was being driven by Paula Paul, whose age was not provided. Because of the collision, both Paul and Chavez were hurt, and both of them needed medical treatment at CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs, so LifeNet transported both of them there.
According to the findings of the investigation conducted by the Arkansas State Police, the incident reportedly took place during a stretch of time in which there were no clouds in the sky and there was no precipitation. In addition to the individuals listed above, personnel from the Garland County Sheriff’s Office and the Piney Fire Department were dispatched to the location.
