Corey Richmond Obituary, Death – Corey Richmond, who was 36 years old and originally from New Haven, Connecticut, fell tragically suddenly on November 23rd, 2022 in the city of Hartford. On September 2, 1986, he was brought into the world by his parents, Brad Richmond and Francine (Pearce) O’Brien, who were located in New Haven at the time. Corey is survived by his mother Francine O’Brien of New Haven, his step-father Jim O’Brien of New Haven, his father Brad Richmond (Nancy) of Guilford, his five siblings Tyler Richmond (Megan) of Guilford, Trevor Richmond (Sarah DeLorenzo) of Guilford, Cadence Richmond of Guilford, Julia Jalbert (Eric) of Middletown, and Aedan O’Brien of New Haven, in addition to a niece Corey is also survived by his paternal great-grandmother Dianne Hey (Robert) of North Carolina.
his paternal great-grandfather Chester Richmond III of Florida, his paternal great-uncle Scott Richmond (Heather) of Bethlehem, Connecticut, and his paternal great-aunt Jen Ciaburro (Louie) of North Haven, Connecticut. Corey’s maternal great-grandparents Francis “Skeeter” and Jo-Ann Pearc Before Corey was born, Corey’s maternal grandfather, Dr. Chester Richmond Jr., had already passed away. The patriarch of the Corey family is still among us. In 2004, Corey graduated from North Haven High School with his high school diploma. He went on to pursue further education at the University of Connecticut, where he received his bachelor’s degree in nursing in 2008.
This took him a total of four years. The entirety of Corey’s professional career has been dedicated to providing care for young people and adolescents who are afflicted with mental illness. In the past, he has had positions as a nursing supervisor at Natchaug Hospital in Mansfield, Connecticut; Yale New Haven Hospital; St. Vincent’s Hospital in Bridgeport; and most recently, he worked as a nurse supervisor at Natchaug Hospital in Mansfield. Corey has focused his entire professional life on working in the field of mental nursing, which he holds a speciality in. His family, his employers, and his acquaintances all had glowing things to say about his compassionate and kind character. He had a reputation for being a very kind and generous man.
In addition to the enthusiasm that Corey had for his work as a nurse and for assisting other people, he enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his family and friends and going for long walks with his cherished puppy, Macey. Macey was Corey’s first pet, and he had a special place in his heart for her. On the Saturday, December 3, 2022, the family will conduct a visitation at the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (also known as the Clancy Funeral Home), which is located at 43 Kirkham Ave. in East Haven, Connecticut. The visitation will take place from 9 until 11:30 in the morning. In order to honor Corey Richmond and his life, his family will talk about the good times they had together and share memories of him during this time. It is planned to be a private ceremony when the body is laid to rest.
