Dayan Ehrentreu Obituary, Death -Dayan Ehrentreu, who served as the former Rosh Beth Din of the London Beth Din and passed away today at the age of 89, has left us all in deep shock with the news of his passing. The Chief Rabbi was quoted as saying, “The Jewish community expresses its condolences to the Ehrentreu family on the loss of Dayan Chanoch Ehrentreu zt”l, a courageous and wise leader. His generosity made a positive impact on the lives of a great number of people, and the lasting legacy of Torah values and scholarship he left behind will make our communities stronger in the years to come. He will be remembered as “The Dayan,” a great leader of our generation, because of the sincerity with which he lived his life and the sense of principle he upheld.
