Denise Glasgow Obituary, Death – This morning, the community at Pimlico High School was made aware of some incredibly upsetting news regarding a member of their school community. Late yesterday night, Denise Glasgow, who had been suffering an illness for a significant amount of time, passed away. Denise was one of the first employees hired by the Department of Education after she joined the organization all the way back in 1968. During the fifty years that Denise worked at Pimlico High School, during which she also held the position of Deputy Principal, she was a devoted supporter of the institution and its mission. Denise was more than just a member of the teaching staff at our institution; she was an indispensable part of the community there.

She has been an indispensable component of our school community for a considerable amount of time, and the imprint she has left behind will continue to be felt for a sizeable amount of time into the foreseeable future. Denise was a much-loved coworker and friend to a large number of current and former Pimlico staff members. In addition, she was a treasured and respected figure to a large number of our families, students, and alumni. Sadly, Denise passed away earlier this week. Those who knew and worked with her will miss her. She has had an influence on the lives of a significant number of students throughout the course of her career as a teacher.

Denise has confronted the challenges that her health has presented over the course of the past eighteen months with a tremendous amount of bravery, fortitude, and decency, and it has been an inspiration to watch. Denise has kept a strong connection to our Pimlico community throughout this time by continuing to attend a significant number of the musical and artistic events that were so important to her. This has allowed her to continue to feel a part of our neighborhood. Our Senior Executive Team and our Guidance Officers are currently providing assistance to members of the Pimlico community who have requested it.
