Desiree Marin Obituary, Death – A child was present in the home where the family resided at the time of the alleged shooting incident on Sunday, which resulted in the death of a woman from Buford. According to the Gwinnett County police, the woman’s husband allegedly shot her before turning the gun on himself. According to Cpl. William Wolfe, Michael, and Desiree Marin, both 44 years old, got into an argument early on Sunday morning at their home located at 2605 Ivy Stone Trail.

The argument reportedly took place in the early morning hours of Sunday. Michael is suspected of first shooting his wife at around ten in the morning, and then shooting himself in retaliation for the argument that took place after the shooting of his wife. “A child of school age was present in the home at the time of the incident; however, the child was not physically harmed,” as stated by Wolfe. “The child was not physically harmed.” Desiree Marin, unfortunately, passed away from her wounds shortly after she and her husband arrived at the medical facility. On the other hand, reports from around the afternoon of Sunday indicated that Michael Marin’s condition was described as extremely critical.

According to a statement that was issued by the police late on Sunday afternoon, Michael Marin has been charged with aggravated assault as well as felony murder. These charges stem from an incident that occurred earlier that day. Together, the Homicide Unit of the Gwinnett County Police Department and the Crime Scene Investigation Units of the department are working together to figure out what happened at the residence.
