Dolorosa Murphy Obituary, Death -Dolorosa Murphy’s family, who resided in Parker’s Cove, is deeply saddened to have to inform everyone of her passing. Dolorosa passed away on November 23rd, 2022, when she was 56 years old. Her passing occurred at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre, which is located in Burin. Her family includes her husband of 33 years, Denis Murphy; her children, Dylan of St. John’s, Deidre (Cameron Pittman) of Parker’s Cove, and Darin of Parker’s Cove; her sisters, Annie March (Clarence) of North Harbour, Rhoda Smith (Ralph) of Mount Pearl, Magdalen Mitchell (Patrick) of Terrenceville, Pearl Denty (Wylie) of Boat Harbour, Catherine Denty

Dolorosa Murphy’s parents, Patrick and Genevieve Murphy, as well as her in-laws, Pius and Melinda Murphy, her sister-in-law, Rita Murphy, and her uncle, Jim Murphy, all passed away before she was born. Dolorosa was a kind and humble woman who had a knack for making friends no matter where she went. She was a gentle but constant guiding hand in the lives of her children and students throughout their entire lives. Classes in English, art, and drama provided Dolorosa with the opportunity to develop meaningful relationships with her pupils. She was someone who brought out the best in people she came in contact with.

After she retired, she took pleasure in tending her flower garden and planting vegetable seeds to watch them mature. During the colder months, her favorite activities were snowshoeing and sewing with her sisters. She was gifted in so many ways and interested in so many things, and she really did make the most of each day. She will forever be our very own guardian angel.

At Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church – Parker’s Cove, the Murphy Family will be present to receive guests beginning at six o’clock in the evening on November 26, 2022, and continuing until ten o’clock that night. Sunday, November 27, 2022, at eleven in the morning, starting when the event begins. On Monday, November 28th, 2022, at 11:00 in the morning, the Roman Catholic Church of Our Lady of Lourdes in Parker’s Cove will hold a funeral mass for the deceased.
