Dorothy Porch Obituary, Death – Mrs. Dorothy Porch Kelley’s first day of life on earth was July 10, 1930, and she spent it in Talladega County, Alabama. Her birth took place in Talladega County. On that day, her parents, John Porch and Willie Mae Porch became first-time parents for the very first time when they brought her into the world and became parents to her. Mrs. Kelley gave her life to Christ at a young age, acknowledging him as both her Lord and her Savior, and joining the Harper Springs Baptist Church in Sylacauga, Alabama. She is buried in the church’s cemetery. She was laid to rest in the cemetery that belonged to the church.
Mrs. Kelley was well-known for the extraordinary level of diligence and work ethic that she displayed while serving as a janitor at the Sylacauga Elementary Schools in Alabama. After working as a janitor for a considerable amount of time, she began her own business by providing house cleaning services in the surrounding area. Eventually, she expanded her company to include cleaning homes in other regions.
Mrs. Kelley’s path through life brought her into contact with the late Clinton Kelley, whom she would eventually wed in a sacred ceremony. Mrs. Kelley’s life journey brought her into contact with him. Mrs. Kelley’s life journey brought her into contact with Mr. Clinton Kelley, who subsequently passed away. Mrs. Kelley departed this life on November 19, 2022, while she was in the care of the medical staff at the Coosa Valley Medical Center. She passed away there. There she took her last breath. Her parents, John and Willie Mae Porch, as well as her brothers, sisters, and grandson all passed away before she did.
Her only surviving relative is a granddaughter. Her parents were also her grandparents. Before she did, her husband Clinton Kelley, both of her parents, and both of her parents’ parents had all passed away. Mrs. Kelley’s love will be forever treasured by her daughters Willie Mae Porch of Richmond, Virginia, and Druscilla Kelley of North Carolina; sons Billy Ray (Sharon) Kelley and Craig Kelley both of Sylacauga, Alabama; four grandchildren, Anthony Johnson and Brian Johnson of New York, T’Kinasha Kelley and Kaynar Kelley of Ohio; fifteen great-grandchildren; two special cousins, Shirley Jones, and Carrie Hale; special friends.
