Dorothy Self Obituary, Death – On November 17, 2022, about three o’clock in the afternoon, Dorothy Marion Permar Self, the fifth and final child of Reverend John Maxwell and Iva Ellen DeYarmin PerMar, finished her journey from this world to the next. She was known as Dorothy Marion Permar Self. She was an unabashed optimist who had faith that things will be better in the future. Throughout her whole life, she was known by her given name, Dorothy Marion Permar Self.

Survived by daughters Deborah E. Alexander (Lilburn, Georgia), Karen S. Ball (Winston Salem, North Carolina), Amanda C. Self (Hoover, Alabama), and Marian N. Savenko (Burlington, North Carolina), in addition to a large number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, as well as a large number of nieces and nephews. Deborah E. Alexander and Karen S. Ball both reside in North Carolina.
