Doug Foster Obituary, Death – Doug Foster passed away on Thursday at his home. Doug, the son of George and Wilma Foster, was brought into the world on November 10th in Springfield. Doug is their first child together. He spent his childhood in Riverton, which he considered to be his childhood home and from which he later graduated high school. He was raised close to the Springfield area with his sister, Annette Foster Beck, and both of them were raised in the vicinity of Riverton.

Doug attended Illinois College in Jacksonville to earn his Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. He received this degree from the institution. After completing his education, he secured a job with the state of Alaska and relocated to that state for a period of a few years before returning to the Springfield neighborhood in which he had been raised. As soon as Doug returned from his trip, he immediately began developing his interest in music and high-fi by opening an electronics store called Sundown One with his college best friend Jack Wheaton. In addition to this, he was one of the original founders of Greene County Cable Television, which he went on to direct as CEO for a considerable amount of time.

Both of Doug’s sons, Cory (1985) and Alex (1987), were born to their mother, Robin Foster, from whom he eventually divorced. Cory was born in 1985, and Alex was born in 1987. Both Cory and Alex were born in the year 1985. Cory came first. Alex was born in 1987. After that, he wed Janet Wolff Foster in the year 2002, and the couple remained married right up until the time that he passed away in the year 2014; they had a long and happy life together. After the passing of their biological father in 1996, Doug was entrusted with the responsibility of rearing Stacy Wolff Thorson and Jeff Wolff. This was a privilege for Doug.

Family and friends of Doug will remember him as a movie and music enthusiast who delighted in the opportunity to catalog his vast collection of media on the database of his personal computer. Doug will be fondly remembered for this trait. The older the music and movies were, in his opinion, the better they were, and he enjoyed listening to and watching a wide variety of older music and films. Not only does Doug leave behind the members of his family that were discussed previously, but he also has eight grandchildren and a sizable number of nieces and nephews.
