Ernie Moore Obituary, Death – In the last decade and a little, the wrestling scene in Hamilton has truly become a legendary chapter in the history of the business in our area, and many people would agree that if it hadn’t been for Ernie Moore, it never would have been conceivable! Beginning with his insignificant beginnings in the middle to late 1950s at the illustrious spittles Gym here in Hamilton, where many greats from this town got their start in that era, Ernie had a unique relationship with both the city of Hamilton and the world of professional wrestling.

His beginnings can be traced back to when these events took place. However, he would also become known as the disguised Executioner, traveling a great distance and competing in a great number of rings across the United States and Canada. Unfortunately, a vehicle accident would put an end to his in-ring career, but that didn’t mean he was through with wrestling.

Many people believe that his most significant impact on the sport of wrestling was not as a competitor but rather as a coach and guide to an entirely new generation of wrestlers, particularly in the early 2000s. He had a very successful career in the ring. His influence on many of the Ontario Indy stars who rose during that era is still felt now, as there are several who continue to have a large influence in the region and throughout the province of Ontario today, who learned from Ernie!

They have left his legacy in good standing. I want to express my sincerest sympathies to Ernie’s family, as well as to his friends and acquaintances who shared a close relationship with him. Those people in this area and throughout the province of Ontario who have a passion for wrestling owe a debt of gratitude and a compliment to this man! Thank you so much, Ernie!
