Finnlay Lowe Obituary, Death – The family of a man who passed away after being involved in a car accident in East Tilbury has expressed their “devastation” over their loss. In the early hours of August 3, a collision on Princess Margaret Road claimed the life of Finnlay Lowe, who was 20 years old. A automobile that was involved in the accident went off the road, which ultimately led to Finnlay’s death. Finnlay had just turned 20 a week before his death. At approximately 1.35 in the morning on August 3, officers from the Essex Police Department were dispatched to Princess Margaret Road in response to allegations of an incident.
The family of Finnlay, who was 20 years old, said in a tribute that was made public by Essex Police that their loved one “leaves us with many of memories.” They added that: “We are utterly heartbroken by the loss of Finnlay, who served as our son, brother, grandchild, and nephew. Finnlay embraced life and loved with every fiber of his existence.” He had a natural talent for making people laugh and a heart full of excitement, generosity, and friendliness that drew others to him. He was always up for an adventure. Finn cherished his time spent outside, whether he was picking up fresh moves at the skate park, guiding a child through their first riding experience, or engaging in his competitive running career with the Thurrock Harriers.
“Whether they made us laugh or weep, every message made us proud of the man that he had become. We have received a multitude of personal notes from people to whom he had made a difference shared with us, and we will keep each one. He leaves behind a wealth of memories for us.” The investigation into Finnlay’s passing was officially kicked off on August 16 at the Essex Coroner’s Court in Chelmsford. Rachel Coleman, an officer of the coroner, was quoted as saying: “On August 3, 2022, he passed dead in a residence in the Tilbury neighborhood. He was the only passenger in the automobile he was driving and was on his way. The car went off the road completely.
“The death was regrettably verified around 1:50 in the morning after the ambulance was called. On August 8, a post-mortem examination was performed, and toxicology examinations were necessary. According to the preliminary autopsy report, the decedent died from 1A multiple serious injuries and 1B a road traffic collision.” The local coroner, Sean Horstead, was quoted as saying: “I am confident that there should be an investigation into this extremely tragic death. It is necessary to complete a number of investigations that have not yet been done, including the report on the investigation of the serious crash. We are waiting for things, and until we have them, we won’t be able to make significant headway in the situation.
“I have decided to postpone the investigation into Finnlay Lowe’s passing until a date that will be determined later. In closing, I would like to extend my deepest condolences to Finnlay Lowe’s family as well as his many friends during this trying time in their lives.” After Finnlay passed away, a good friend of the family named Helen Rawles started a fundraising campaign in his honor to assist his family with the costs associated with the funeral. This is what she wrote: “The untimely death of the charming young man Finnlay Lowe has left all of us in utter disbelief. The family of Finnlay has given me their blessing for creating this page on their website.
“I would like to alleviate some of the stress that they are experiencing and contribute to the expenses associated with Finnlay’s funeral. All of Finnlay’s loved ones, including his family and friends, will miss him tremendously. May you ever find rest and tranquility, Finnlay.
