NC Mooresboro – On November 9, 2022, at his home, Hubert Wayne Byars, 80, of 2331 McCraw Road, went to be with the Lord.
Born in Boiling Springs, NC, he was the husband of Brenda McCraw Byars and son of the late Broadus Hubert Byars and Minnie Bell Greene Byars. He retired from Timken and was a member of Camps Creek Baptist Church. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren and greatgrandchildren, hunting, fishing, gardening and camping.
Surviving in addition to his wife is a son, Troy Wayne Byars of Mooresboro, NC; a daughter, Lesley Byars Ledbetter (Jody) of Mooresboro, NC; a brother, Willie Byars (Dot) of Mooresboro, NC; two sisters, Brenda Roach (Wayne) of Mooresboro, NC and Ruth Sexton (Larry) of Hendersonville, NC; five grandchildren, Manda Fauble (Jeff), Monica Bridges (Chad), Lindsay Byars, Josh Settlemyre (Savannah) and Riley Ledbetter; two greatgrandchildren, Jordyn and Connor; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Janice Harris.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at Blakely Funeral Home. Memorial services will follow at 2:00 PM in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Steve Durham and Reverend Steve Taylor officiating.
