Gerry Cassidy Obituary, Death – Since the passing of Fr. Cassidy, the students and teachers at Our Lady of Lourdes Primary School have written many touching letters to one another in order to convey their most sincere condolences and sadness at the loss of their cherished instructor and guide. These letters have been exchanged in an effort to show their support for one another during this difficult time. They were made aware of this fact when Fr. Cassidy passed away, and it was only after that that they were able to accept it and move on with their lives. Before being given the opportunity to take on his current role, Father Cassidy served in a variety of roles within our organization.

These roles include that of Parish Priest, Trustee, and Governor, all of which came before he was given the chance to take on his current role. Before being promoted to his current position, Father Cassidy had a variety of positions within our organization over the course of his career here. At the moment, he is acting as a substitute for the Governor of our organization, which means that he is responsible for carrying out the responsibilities that would normally be assigned to him in that role. During this trying time, we are keeping everyone in the Redemptorist community as well as Father Cassidy’s family in our thoughts and prayers. We are sorry for the loss of Father Cassidy.

The news of Father Cassidy’s departure has left us in a state of mourning. We are aware that each of you is now coping with a difficult situation; thus, we would like each of you to know that our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. If you could please keep us updated on how well you are responding to the treatment that you are currently receiving and how well you are recovering from this illness, we would greatly appreciate it.
