James Genelin Obituary, James Genelin of Tomahawk Has Passed Away

James Genelin Obituary, Death – On November 23, 2022, James S. Genelin, who resided in Tomahawk and was 88 years old, passed away. Jim Genelin’s parents, Aloysius and Gertrude, brought him into the world on February 8, 1934, in Cleveland, Minnesota (Blaschko). On August 23, 1954, he tied the knot with Patricia Kopp in the state of Minnesota. Tomahawk became the couple’s permanent home. In 1970, Jim was the owner of Lampert Yards, which had previously been known as Raymond Lumber. In 1988, Mike and Jim established Industrial Packaging as a business. Instead of hunting or fishing, woodworking was his true passion in life.

Jim decided to become a member of the Optimist Club as well as the Knights of Columbus. As a member of Tomahawk’s board of appeals, he contributed to the development of the city’s building codes. Jim was a family-oriented man who was devoted to the Catholic faith. LaCrosse-native Genelin Mike Genelin, Mary Hardel, Peggy Johnson, Rich Johnson, Brian Genelin, and Jeff Genelin are Jim’s surviving children and grandchildren, respectively. His grandchildren are named Anthony, Kelly, Kaitlyn, Andrew, Kali, Britt, Beau (Sarah), Mike (Khadija), Rachael, Matt, Molly, Jamie (Brad), Justin (Devon), Jenna (Mike), Luke, Elise, Alonzo, Xavier, and Ella.

His great-grandchildren are named Justin (Devon), Jamie (Brad), and Jenna (Mike). There have been 11 great-grandchildren who have lived, and their names are Sebastian, Lila, Louie, Bashir, Aliya, Marcus, Jaxson, Kamden, Jordyn, and Jace respectively. A number of people, including Trudy Eisenhauer from St. Peter and Ted (Joan) Genelin from Mankato, were left behind.
Jim was preceded in death by his mother and father, wife and son, as well as two of his sisters.

The Memorial Mass in honor of Jim Genelin will be held on December 3, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. The person in charge is Father Louis Maram Reddy. At the Krueger Family Funeral Home on Friday, December 2 from 4 to 7 o’clock in the evening. On Saturday, visitation will take place from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Giving to St. Mary Catholic School in Jim’s name is a fitting way to honor him.
