He was without a doubt the coolest and most exciting speaker to have ever lived in human history when I took this photo of him in September 2011. I was the one who took this photo. He was, without a question, among the most useful teachers I have ever had the privilege of being able to learn from. I appreciate the chance I had to pick his brain during our time together. James Terrell, may God provide you the tranquility and peace you so well deserve in heaven. I want you to know that I will be praying for you and all of your loved ones at this difficult time, and I want you to know that I won’t stop.

He was a priceless gem, and I still hold him in the highest regard as the teacher who, over the course of my entire education, had the most impact on me. The person who taught me the most was him. It was just a few weeks ago, to be exact, that I last spoke with Mr. Terrell. I was steadfast in my conviction that he would not buckle under the weight of loss and give up the ghost.
