Jim Reardon-Anderson Obituary, Death – “It is with a heavy heart that I announce the tragic news of the loss of Prof. Jim Reardon-Anderson, who over the course of more than three decades of dedication to SFS represented the very best of our institution. ” “It is with a heavy heart that I announce the tragic news of the loss of Prof. Jim Reardon-Anderson.” “It is with a heavy heart that I bring the tragic news of the demise of Prof. Jim Reardon-Anderson,” the speaker said. “I will miss him greatly.” The person who was speaking expressed their sadness by saying, “It is with a heavy heart that I announce the dreadful news of the passing of Professor Jim Reardon-Anderson.
” I’m sorry to be the one to tell you all this terrible news, but regrettably, Professor Jim Reardon-Anderson has passed away. I’m sorry to be the one to do so. It is with deep sorrow that I have no choice but to continue in this manner. His responsibilities as the Founding Dean of the SFS campus in Qatar and as the Interim Dean of SFS after the untimely death of Carol Lancaster were the most notable roles he played as a member of the SFS leadership team. Both of these positions brought him the most recognition. As a member of the SFS leadership team, he participated in practically all of the organization’s activities.
In addition to his duties as chair of the Faculty Council and director of our Master of Arts in Asian Studies program, he was also in charge of our Master of Science in Financial Studies program and oversaw its operations. In this role, he was responsible for ensuring that the program met all of its objectives. In addition to being a professor at the School of Foreign Service, where he held the prestigious position of Sun Yat-sen Chair of Chinese Studies, he was also in charge of the world-famous Map of the Modern World course. This course is taught in many universities across the world. To phrase it another way, Jim was the primary mover and shaker in the establishment of the contemporary Society for Facilitating Studies.
In each and every one of those responsibilities, he was held in extremely high esteem because of his objectivity, his fundamental decency, his dedication to the people of SFS, and his unwavering commitment to the principles that direct our educational institution. It would be an honor for me if you could join me in paying tribute to the remarkable legacy that he has left behind at SFS, and I sincerely hope that you will be able to do so with me. If you are able to do so with me, it would be an honor for me. It would mean the world to me to see you there.
