Jimmy Durden Obituary, Death -At the age of 76, Jimmy Bird Durden, who resided in Metter, Georgia, passed away at the East Georgia Regional Medical Center on the 23rd day of November 2022. At the time of his passing, he was attended to by his loved ones on all sides.
His parents, Josh Albert Durden and Eula Bird Durden were there to greet him as he made his entrance into the world on July 23, 1946. When Jimmy retired from RR Donnelly, he spent most of his time outdoors, hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed the outdoors. In addition to that, he found great satisfaction in the upkeep of his pecan orchard and the creation of brand-new gardens each year.

He held his time with his children and grandchildren, both his children and his grandchildren, in the highest regard. Before he did, both of his parents as well as both of his brothers, Josh Albert (JA) Durden Jr. and Judson Durden passed away. Those who are left behind after his death include his wife of 56 years, Mollie Deloris Durden, as well as his children Tony (Dana) Durden, Jan Sutton (Ted Riner), and Scott Durden. Grandchildren, Seth Durden, Ashleigh (Thomas) Joyner, Suzanne Durden, and Blaine Sutton. Clay Joyner is the only member of the family to have reached the age of being a great-grandchild. In addition, there are several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law who have survived, as well as a number of nieces and nephews and other relatives who are related by marriage.

The memorial service will be held at Rosemary Primitive Baptist Church at two o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, November 26, 2022. The date and year have not been finalized. The date and time are not set in stone at this time. On Saturday, beginning at one o’clock, the family will meet and greet friends at the church until the time of the funeral. This will continue until the end of the service.
