Joan Lynch Obituary, Death -On August 22, 2022, Joan M. Lynch passed away at her home in Cheshire, surrounded by members of her family. On the 18th of October 1940 found Joan Bartizek was brought into the world in Hartford, Connecticut. Her parents passed away before she was born. She worked as a bookkeeper for a law firm until she retired and lived in Cheshire for many years.
After receiving her diploma from Mount St. Joseph Academy in 1958, Joan immediately found employment in Hartford the following year. 1964 was the year of the move to Cheshire. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to everyone she knew.

Joan was skilled at quilting. She stitched together a plethora of lovely quilts for the Connecticut Children’s Hospital, as well as for her family and friends. She enjoyed going to festivals featuring hot air balloons, working puzzles, collecting teddy bears, shopping at tag sales, and going on adventures with her friends. Her favorite teams were the Red Sox and the Huskies. From Joan’s immediate family, only AnnMarie Czajkowski, Debbie Hallbach, and Ernie Hallbach, Debbie’s husband, are still alive today. Kimberly Noel, Matthew Noel, Allison Putman and her husband Kyle, Jeffrey Hallbach, and Jennifer Hallbach will miss her, as will her brother John Bartizek, nieces Terry Bartizek and Karen Pfountz, nephew John Bartizek, and best friend Harriet Austin. She will also be missed by her nephew John Bartizek. She will be missed by Harriet Austin as well.

Celebration of life services will be held for her on Saturday, August 27, 2022 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Bella Gio Ristorante, which is located at 835 West Main Street in Cheshire. Friends and acquaintances are invited to attend. The assistance is being provided by the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home located in Cheshire.
