Joe Lupini Obituary, Longtime Owner Of Loyal Termite Has Died

Joe Lupini Obituary, Death –  On November 8th, Joe Lupini, who had been the owner of Loyal Termite & Pest Control in Richmond, Virginia for many years, passed away at the age of 87. As someone who has always had a passion for baseball, Lupini decided to become an umpire for a minor league after attending the Al Summers Umpire School in Daytona Beach, Florida. Prior to that, he served in the Marine Corps. After that, he became a commercial salesman for an advertising firm and spent five days of each week away from his family’s residence.

It was during this time that he was introduced to Peggy by a coworker. Peggy would go on to become his devoted wife and lifelong companion. When Joe and Peggy found out they were expecting their first child after being married for a year, they made the decision that he needed to find another work in the Richmond area that did not require him to spend as much time traveling. That year marked the beginning of his professional life in the field of pest management.

Before starting his own pest management company, Loyal Termite & Pest Control, he gained experience in the pest control industry by working for a number of different companies. During that time, he was involved in practically every level and every facet of the business. Joe was a well-known and respected figure in the field of pest management in Virginia, and he acted as a guide and advisor to a large number of other specialists. He was given a position on the Pesticide Advisory Board for the Commonwealth of Virginia and served in that capacity.

He had previously served on the board of directors of the National Pest Management Association, in addition to having served as president of the Virginia Pest Management Association and as a member of the board of directors there. He was a member of the committee that was in charge of the endowment for the Virginia Tech Urban Research Center.

Because of his significant contributions to the field of pest management, Lupini was given the Crown Leadership Award in the year 2006, which he received. Peggy, Joe’s wife; their son and daughter-in-law, Nick and Gena Lupini; and their daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Chris Williams, are among those who will carry on Joe’s legacy after his passing.
