Joni M. Goeckner Obituary, Death – At this time, we ask that you remember to keep the Goeckner family in your thoughts and prayers. Joni M. Goeckner passed away recently. She had been around for 62 years and called Teutopolis home. Joni was a patient at the HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham at the time of her demise on November 22, 2022. Her death occurred on that date.
On the Monday, November 29, 2022, at eleven in the morning, a Christian burial service that is also known as a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Teutopolis.
The burial will take place at St. Francis Cemetery after the service. Visitation will begin at nine in the morning on Monday in the church, which will continue until the start of mass in St. Clare Hall. The donor gets to decide which charitable organization receives the contribution given in honor of a deceased loved one. At this time, the arrangements are being handled by the Bauer Funeral Home, which is located in Teutopolis.
The 7th of May, 1960 marks Joni Treat’s birthday, and she was born in Springfield, Massachusetts. James and Mary Ann are her father and mother (Zacha). She wed her longtime partner Leon F. Goeckner on the 18th of September in 1982. Joni was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church as well as the St. Francis Council of Catholic Women. Both of these organizations are associated with St. Francis.
Joni Goeckner is survived by her husband, Leon, of Teutopolis; their daughters, Lauren Goeckner (Justin Lin) of Greenup and Lindsay (Casey) Garrison of Florissant, Missouri; their son, Taylor Goeckner (Maggie) of Urbana; their six grandchildren, Carter, Lawson, Melody, Coco, DeeDee, and Mickey; and their sisters, Janine (David) Childress, Janet (Philip) Kaiser, and Joy John and Lucille Goeckner were Joni’s parents and raised her.
