Ken Juedes Obituary, Milwaukee WI, Ken Juedes Has Died

Ken Juedes Obituary, Death – Ken Juedes of Milwaukee, Wisconsin has sadly and unexpectedly passed away. Ken was born in the Rothschild neighborhood on March 20, 1948, to Edwin and Margaret (Sahr) Juedes and attended D.C. Everest High School. In 1972, he earned a bachelor’s degree in pharmacology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Ken then started his pharmacy career, which he has maintained to this day. In the mid-1970s, he purchased Dill Creek Farm and has lived there ever since. Dill Creek sparked a lifelong interest in the land. Dill Creek became a Certified Tree Farm after Ken planted hundreds of trees.

Ken was also the owner of four Belgian draft horses and the founder of the Belgian Draft Horse Corporation of America. Ken enjoyed entertaining the crowds at local fairs and parades. He also belonged to Ducks Unlimited and the Colby Lions Club, and he marched in their annual parade. Ken started his garden and made maple syrup in the spring. He grew some of the best peas and tomatoes in the area. He cut his winter wood in the fall. Ken was also interested in photography. He won first place for one of his paintings, “Roads End,” which was on display at the Marshfield Clinic for many years and is now proudly displayed in his home. During the deer gun season, Ken listened to a variety of music, including John Prine, which was blasting from his Ford truck.

Ken was a big fan of car and motorcycle racing. Every year, Ken loaded his Harley into the trailer and drove to Elkhart Lake for the cycle show. Ken was looking forward to trips to Ashland and Bayfield with his wife Cindy to see long-time friends Dana and Cathy, and he was counting down the hours until his next vacation could begin. Ken had many talents, including cooking and baking cherry pies, which he shared with his stepdaughter Sarah, as well as building and welding. Ken was excited for the holidays, especially Christmas. His body could have been taken over by Clark Grizwald from “Christmas Vacation.” Ken was dissatisfied until he discovered the 18-foot-tall living room tree.

Ken’s parents, Edwin and Margaret Juedes, survive him, and despite not seeing his birth children in over a year, he adored them. Ken is survived by his wife, Cindy; his daughters, Jennifer, Sara, and Rebecca; his mother-in-law, Vernetta; and a large number of family and friends. Thank you, in particular, to Patrick and Anita O’Hearn for their concern and assistance during this difficult time. Ducky and Mrs. Finklestien will miss Ken terribly, as they will miss being able to call him and discuss her medications.
