Lawrence Tucker Obituary, Death – Obituary for Lawrence Tucker, Death – Lawrence “Larry” P. Tucker, 72, of Perryville, Missouri, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, November 23, 2022. At the time of his death, he was surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 6, 1950, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, to the late Leroy and Hazel Marie (Moonier) Tucker, both of whom have since died. He married Sharon Siebert in a ceremony on June 21, 2018. She is still alive and well and resides in Perryville, Missouri. He served in the United States Navy. Before retiring, he worked as a correctional SGT at the Menard Chester Correctional Center for many years. Melva Seyer, his three children’s mother, is one of the few survivors.

Lawrence W. “Herbie” Tucker of Perryville, Eric L. and Jami Tucker of Perryville, and Rebecca C. Tucker Coots of Cape Girardeau are the children. Perryville’s Luke Rigsby, Marissa Rigsby-Tucker, and Kyle Kemner; and Cape Girardeau’s Tucker, Memphis, and Zhora Coots. The siblings in question are Steve Tucker, originally from Ste. Genevieve, and Sandra (Mark) Weinkein, are originally from Perryville. His father, mother, brothers Joseph Tucker, William Tucker, Leroy “Jerry” Tucker, and Thomas Tucker, as well as sisters Agnes Tucker, Rose Brown, and Nancy Amberger predeceased him. Those who had the pleasure of knowing him will be saddened by his death. He was a thoughtful, generous, and exceptionally bright man who was devoted to his profession.

Those who had the opportunity to know and learn from him will carry on his legacy. His passion was karaoke, and he treasured the time he spent with his loved ones and friends at Larry’s Bar and Grill Karaoke. He was a member of the Belleville American Legion Post #133, the Scottish Rite of Southern Illinois, the East St. Louis Shriners AINAD, and the Chester Masonic Lodge #72, where he had been a Mason for 30 years. Visitation will be held at Ford & Young Funeral Home on Monday, November 28, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and again on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.,

immediately followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. The family would prefer donations to the American Cancer Society or Crown Hospice instead of flowers.
