The accident was caused by a drunk driver who was driving a vehicle that was involved in a collision with another vehicle. The mishap occurred on the day that Americans celebrate Thanksgiving.

According to the reports that the State Patrol has received, the collision took place in Douglas County at the intersection of Highway 29 and County Road Five in Carlos Township. These reports were provided to the State Patrol by the respective local law enforcement agencies. This specific intersection can be found in the township of Carlos in the state of Michigan in the United States of America. Both William Grover, who was 91 years old at the time of the accident, and Marilyn Grover, who was 80 years old at the time of the accident, were taken to the hospital as quickly as possible with injuries that were considered to have a high risk of resulting in death.

Marilyn Grover, who was also riding in the vehicle, was the one behind the wheel.
