Mark Done Obituary, Saddleworth Rangers Mourns Mark Done Death
- by Alex Danvers
Mark Done Obituary, Death – Unfortunately, Mark, Isaac’s father, is currently enduring challenging treatment for a cruel disease that has in some way impacted all of us. This disease has affected Isaac in a profound way. Melanoma has advanced to the stage 4 condition in Mark’s body. It is a fatal condition. In September, he was evaluated and given a diagnosis at the emergency room after going there complaining of stomach pain. He is participating in immunotherapy treatment at Christie’s Hospital in the hopes of halting the progression of cancer and reducing its size. The treatment is given in a slow steady drip once every three weeks.
The treatment is particularly challenging, and as a result, he has been rendered completely helpless as a result of it. Rangers Rugby and Uppermill FC Under 7s are about to embark on a very special challenge to support their coach and his family, but they need your assistance!! Rangers Rugby and Uppermill FC Under 7s are about to embark on a very special challenge to support their coach and his family. On Saturday, November 26, they will hold a sponsored “Mile for Mark” at the Rangers Rugby Club… The young men will make an effort to complete 4.5 circuits of the rugby field. It might look easy, but it’s actually going to be quite difficult for someone their age! Please consider making a contribution to this page if you would like to participate with us in this challenge to aid Mark and his family.
Everyone under the age of seven is welcome to participate in the run; in fact, we hope to see as many of our young athletes as possible sporting their football or rugby uniforms! They are going to find this to be a difficult challenge, but they will receive encouragement and support each and every step of the way! Also, we would appreciate it if you could stick around after the event to enjoy some pizza, drinks, and other snacks. Mark and his family will receive one hundred percent of every dollar that is donated in their honor.
On Saturday, November 26, the event will begin at 4.30 p.m., and the boys will begin their “Mile for Mark” at 5.30 p.m. The entire amount that was raised will be given to the family. Please do not hesitate to get in touch with Danny Attersall, Nikki Baker, or Sophie Beard if you have any questions. Everyone ought to be able to go, so they can show Mark and his family that the Rugby League and Football communities are pulling for him as he fights his illness. TEAM MILE, LET’S GET IT SMASHED FOR MARK!!
