Mark Henry Obituary, Death – The family of Mark D. Henry is heartbroken to announce his untimely death on Monday, March 7, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Family and friends are invited to call at the Phillips Memorial Home, 64 Andrews Street, Massena, NY, on Saturday, March 19, 2022. Calling hours will be held from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM when the Celebration of Life will begin.
Mark Henry was born in Niskayuna, New York on November 4, 1958, to the late John A. and Janet (Moffitt) Henry.

Mark graduated from Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School in 1976. He continued his education at the University of Maine in Orono, Maine, where he majored in forestry and graduated with honors. In Calais, Maine, on July 17, 1982, he married his loving bride Catherine “Cathy” Lord. Mark began his career with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation shortly after graduation, where he worked as an Operation Supervisor for 36 years before retiring in 2015. Mark enjoyed being outside. His love of the great outdoors and his family matched his interests in outdoor activities.

His family spent time camping, four-wheeling, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, and target shooting, making memories that will last a lifetime. He shared many experiences on the water and at his family hunting camp in New Brunswick with family and friends as an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman. He founded and led the Deep Woods Hunting Club in the Adirondacks, where he made lifelong friends.

He was a devoted husband and father who adored his granddaughter Anastasia Rose. Mark was a memorable person who always put others first, forming long-lasting bonds with those who were fortunate enough to meet him. Mark is survived by his wife, Cathy Henry, and their caring children, Leah Henry and fiancé Adam Levy of Penfield, NY, Luke and Mary Henry of Ogdensburg, NY; a granddaughter Anastasia Rose Henry; and a brother Scott and wife Robyn Henry of Jefferson, ME. His mother-in-law, Marlene Lord of Calais, ME, and his sisters-in-law, Shirley and Greg Hold of Port St. Lucie, FL, Betty and Dan Burgess of Port St. Lucie, FL, Debbie and Bruce Niles of Holden, ME, and Rick and Ruthie Lord of Calais, ME, as well as several nieces and nephews, survive him.
