Mark Townsend Obituary, Death – Mark Townsend Obituary We have come to the conclusion that everyone should be informed of the tragic news that Mark has died away since we are all in agreement that he will be sorely missed. A wonderful friend to a very big number of different people, a devoted supporter of each and every one of those friends, and a remarkable individual in every way. Not only did he donate a significant portion of his spare time to this organization, but he also volunteered to serve as a marshal at a wide variety of other events, and you could always find him waiting with a beaming smile at the finish line of a Park Run. In addition, he donated a substantial amount of his free time to this organization.

As was stated before, he wouldn’t give someone the benefit of a second thought before extending their assistance, direction, and support. He was known for this trait. It would be a major understatement to say that everyone in our club would miss him if we said that they would miss him. Everyone will miss having him around very, very much. Please, Mark, watch where you step when you’re walking up there. I ask you. When we found out yesterday night that one of the local characters and volunteer stalwarts, Mark Townsend, had died away, we were all truly devastated by the news.

Mark Townsend was a staunch volunteer. When we found out that he had passed away, we were all truly saddened. Someone who has never missed a Run4Wales event; someone who is a member of the Pen Y Bont Tri Club; someone who is a dedicated regular at parkrun; someone who was the first person to volunteer at each and every Rabbit Run and BCRL event; and someone who has never missed a Run4Wales event. All of these individuals are eligible for the award. Mark was the type of person that got along well with everyone, had a smile on his face all the time, and was always willing to lend a helping hand, encourage people, and cheer them on. Because of this, he will be much missed by everyone who was actively involved in the Community. His absence will be felt keenly. RIP Big Man.
