Mary Burkhart Obituary, Death – Mary Helen Morgan Burkhart, who was born in Lexington, Kentucky, and lived there her entire life, passed away on November 15, 2022, at the age of 89 at the Brookstone Retirement Home in Lexington, also located in Lexington. A memorial service will be held at the Grace Alliance Church Cemetery the following week, on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at eleven in the morning. The location of the service will be at the graveside. The Reverend Tim Higgs has volunteered to act in the capacity of the event’s presider. Before the graveside service that will take place in the church at 11:00 in the morning, the family will host a visitation for friends and family in the church from 10:00 until 11:00 in the morning. Ms. Burkhart’s parents, James Matthew Morgan and Letha Elliott Morgan gave birth to her in the county of Davidson on August 30, 1933. Her parents’ names are James Matthew Morgan and Letha Elliott Morgan. She was the owner and operator of Morgan’s Inc. in Lexington right up until the time that she decided to retire from the industry. Her husband, Arvil Wilson Burkhart, as well as her parents, had all passed away prior to her passing away. Her death occurred sometime after theirs. At the Grace Alliance Church, she was an engaged participant in the life of the congregation.
Her son Kenneth James McCrary (Betty), who lives in Lexington, and her stepson Artie Burkhart, who also lives in Lexington, are the only two people who were able to outlive her. Neither of them married. The couple’s stepdaughters are known as Sharon Burkhart Smith, who lives in Lexington, and Shelia Burkhart Cannon, who lives in Salisbury. Both of these women are the stepdaughters of the couple. There is also a sizeable population of the deceased person’s step-grandchildren as well as great-grandchildren who are still with us today. This population includes both step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
