Matthew Carlson Obituary, Death – Matthew L. Carlson, who was born in Red Wing, Minnesota, passed away at Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville, Minnesota, after a courageous battle against cancer. Matthew L. Carlson was originally from Red Wing, Minnesota. On September 29, 1973, he was welcomed into the world by his parents, Glen and Kathleen Carlson, who were present in St. Louis Park, Minnesota at the time of his birth. It was in 1992 when he graduated from Red Wing High School with his diploma. Even though he was a committed fan of a number of different sports, hockey was by far and away his favorite.

During his senior year of high school, he was named to the All Conference Hockey Team and also served as the team’s captain. In addition, he received an All-American honor. After that, he went on to play junior hockey in Canada at the A level from 1993 till 1994. This was during his senior year of high school. He lived his life to the fullest, pursuing his interests in music and automobiles to the extent that he could. He made his living as a welder, and he derived a great deal of personal fulfillment from working closely with engineers on the development of prototypes. His grandfather and grandmother had preceded him in death, as had his older brother, Scott Carlson.

He is survived by his parents, his children Jack and Joey Carlson, his children’s mother Cheryl Olson, his brother Tim (Jenni) Carlson, his sister Terri (Jeff) Knudsen, and a large number of nieces, nephews, and friends. He will be greatly missed by all of his loved ones. He will be sorely missed by everyone. In Red Wing, Minnesota, at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church located at 320 West Avenue, there will be a gathering at 10:00 am on the day of the memorial service, which will begin at 11:00 am. The service itself will begin at 11:00 am.
