Mike Marcom Obituary, Death – Marcom, 83 years old and a resident of Colorado City, passed away on Sunday at his residence with his devoted family members by his side. His parents, Claude and Lynda Franks Marcom welcomed him into the world on August 9, 1938, in White Oak, North Carolina. Marcom was a man of faith who put in a lot of effort and worked hard. He loved his family and his God with everything he had. He was blessed with the gifts of gab and wit, which allowed him to maintain a cheerful demeanor throughout the years and ensured that he never encountered anyone who was unfamiliar to him. He spent his entire life working as an electric lineman for the cooperative, and he never ran out of tales to tell about his job.

His kids thought he was one of the best dads ever because he always made sure to be there for them, especially when it came to teaching them about baseball and handyman skills. Baseball was his favorite pastime. His kids thought he was one of the best dads ever. He was excellent at telling jokes and pulling off the perfect prank, and in his spare time, he enjoyed picking fights with other people, as long as they would pick fights back with him. He was a devoted follower of the Texas Rangers and the Dallas Cowboys, had a passion for fishing, and enjoyed getting together with his pals at DQ for a cup of coffee. Everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him will look back on his generous nature and a wide smile with fondness, and the life lessons he imparted will continue to have an impact on future generations.

Marcom is survived by his sons; Steve Marcom (Kathy) of Midland, Alan Marcom (Leslie) of Lubbock, Mike Marcom (Rache) of Midland, and by a daughter Anne Marcom (Carol) of Dallas, as well as by a step-daughter Brigette Schlabach (Kyle) of Lewisville. Buddy is also survived by his grandchildren Kandace, Kelsey, Misty, Riley, Brayden, and Mackenzie In addition to his sister, Frances “Fran” Maynard of Marietta, Georgia, and his brothers James “Jimmy” Marcom (Joyce) and C.J. “Julian” Marcom, both of Raleigh, North Carolina, he was survived by all of his siblings. His parents, Claude and Lynda Marcom, as well as his wives Faye, Lena, and Glenda, all passed away before he did.
