Paul Wieser Obituary, Paul Wieser Has Passed Away
- by Alex Danvers
Paul Wieser Obituary, Death – We felt it was necessary to send along a copy of our dear friend Paul’s obituary. The magnitude of his loss remains incomprehensible and heartbreaking. We will pay our respects in Seattle in the spring, where Paully considers himself to be his home away from home, along with his loving family from Iowa.
Paul Henry Wieser died peacefully at the Mercy One Hospice House in Johnston on Friday, November 18.
Paul was born in the city of Des Moines, Iowa, on June 2, 1972.
He went to St. Pius X School and Dowling Catholic, where he graduated. Paul, who considers himself a lifelong learner, graduated from Drake University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy, Psychology, and Religion after attending several colleges. When he died, he was in the process of finishing a master’s degree in counseling with a concentration in music therapy.
Paul was a musician and music lover. He worked in the music and music production industries in Seattle and Los Angeles for twenty years, where he met legends such as Bob Marley, Dr. Dre, and Dave Matthews. He was especially devoted to Bob and Tina Lang, who served as mentors and sources of support for him throughout his career.
Paul’s adventurous spirit was evident from a young age.
He worked at Living History Farms as a junior blacksmith, where he was compensated with lemonade and peanut butter sandwiches. He loved tracking and exploring the 600 acres that surrounded his childhood home.
Paul’s mother Mary, sister-in-law Emily, and nephew Henry are the only surviving members of his family. Both his father, Arnold, and brother, Sean, died before him.
In the spring, family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of the deceased. At a later date, his ashes will be scattered throughout Seattle, which he considered his home.
If you wish to make a memorial contribution in Paul’s honor, please send it to Mercy One Hospice House in Johnston, Iowa.
