Robbie Stewart Obituary, Resident of Tullahoma Has Passed Away

Robbie Stewart Obituary, Death – Robbie Colleen Stewart, who was born in Moore County and had lived in Tullahoma for a significant amount of time, passed away on November 4, 2022 at the age of 83 at the Bailey Manor in Manchester. Mrs. Stewart was born in Moore County, Georgia, and was the daughter of Buford Henry Reese and Georgia Mae Thompson Reese, both of whom passed away.

She was a seamstress for the Serbin Corporation and a member of the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church in addition to her employment there. She wed the Reverend J.C. Stewart on May 25, 1963, and she delighted in the roles of pastor’s wife, mother to her two sons, grandmother to all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and great-grandmother to her great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Stewart was not survived by any of her surviving siblings. Members of the Reese family, including Jimmy, Kerry, Fred, and Joe, as well as Margaret and Shirley Lynn Martin. Rev. J.C. Stewart, her husband of 59 years, as well as two sons, Victor (Trish) Stewart and Donald (Kathie) Stewart, both of Moore County; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Horace (Martha) Reese and Jerry (Pat) Reese; and a large number of nieces, nephews, and cousins survive her. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Moore County.

The funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, in the chapel of the Kilgore Funeral Home. Pastor A.J. Alderman presided over the event. The burials took place in the Moore County cemetery known as Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery. Both Bailey Manor in Manchester for their long-term support and care and Adoration Hospice for their assistance in Mrs. Stewart’s final days are deserving of the family’s gratitude. The family would like to take this opportunity to thank both facilities.

In lieu of sending flowers, the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, or a charity of your choosing.
