Ron Hollingsworth Obituary, Death – In Rose Hill, Iowa, on May 8, 1939, he was born as the child of Ivan Hollingsworth and Leonara (Bradley) Hollingsworth. He was named after his mother’s maiden name. He was the only child to ever be born to the two of them. He was an only child, and his parents did not have any other children or siblings. In the quaint community of Sigurney, Iowa, which served as the setting for the wedding ceremony, he and Mary Haines officially became husband and wife on March 8, 1960.

She is survived by her children, Randolph (Sandra) Hollingsworth of Beech Island, South Carolina, Richard Hollingsworth of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Ronda Davis of Galva, and Rita (Ken) Meaker of Toulon, eight grandchildren, including Kyle, Brianna, Robert, Mike, Doug, Crystal, Kendra, and Becky, and several great-grandchildren, as well as a sister named Joyce. She is also survived by a large number of great-grandchildren. In addition, she leaves behind a significant number of great-grandchildren. Ron had been employed by Bell Trucking for the previous 32 years, beginning his career there as a driver before transitioning into the role of a mechanic at the company. During that time period, the organization promoted him to a pair of higher levels on two separate occasions. Earlier in his career, he had worked for the Galva Creamery, one of the many ways he had provided service to the company over the course of his career. He made the most of his free time by engaging in pursuits that brought him pleasure, such as perusing the newspaper, feeding the birds in the neighborhood, and spending time with his loved ones. The city’s First Baptist Church was his regular place of worship, and he never missed a Sunday service there.
