Ronnie Carter Obituary, Father shot, killed by Son for blowing His Nose

Ronnie Carter Obituary, Death -The official report of the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of a man states that he was shot by his son for blowing his nose. According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, on November 23, 21-year-old Adam Carter fatally shot and killed his father, Ronnie Carter, who was 64 years old. A normal autumn morning passed in the 2500 block of Stonewood Drive until around 9:30 a.m., when police received a call from Adam Carter, who allegedly admitted to shooting his father. Adam Carter was arrested for the shooting.

“After shooting his father, he then called for medical help because he felt bad about shooting his father,” said BRPD Sgt. L’Jean McKneely. “He called for medical help because he felt bad about shooting his father.”
According to McKneely, the individual made an effort to save his father before the arrival of the emergency personnel. “When we arrived, we offered our assistance and took him into custody,” McKneely explained. “When we left, we took him into custody.”

The probable cause report states that Adam Carter told the police that he became enraged after his father blew his nose, and that during the argument, he went to get the gun from a bedroom and shot his father. This is according to Adam Carter’s statement to the police. Adam Carter allegedly told the police that he fired the gun after being provoked by his father, according to the records.

Neighbors claim that Adam Carter and his older sisters were homeschooled and that they were not permitted to play with other children in the neighborhood; despite this, the Carter children were frequently seen walking with their father. McKneely explained that it appeared as though the individual had not participated in any type of educational activity in the five years since the passing of his mother. Both Adam Carter and his father did not have any prior convictions. Adam Carter is undergoing testing to determine whether he suffers from any mental illnesses or disabilities before his day in court.

Although his adult sisters have left the house, the police believe that one of his younger sisters, who is still a resident there and is roughly his age, will most likely stay with one of his other sisters. Adam Carter was taken into custody and booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison after being charged with manslaughter.
