Sandra Mallette Obituary, Death – One individual lost their life as a result of the fire that broke out very early this morning in Greater Sudbury. A group of police officers was sent to Cawthorpe Street shortly before 3:20 a.m. on Wednesday morning to look into a disturbance that had been reported there early in the morning on Wednesday. The following statement was contained in an email sent by a police spokesperson named Kaitlyn Dunn. The email said, “Upon arrival on the scene, officers determined there was a fire inside the property and informed City of Greater Sudbury Fire Services.” Officers arrived on the site and found that the building they were called to was experiencing an active fire when they went inside.
“After extinguishing the fire and cleaning up the flat, firefighters discovered the body of a woman who had passed away at the age of 29,”
Despite the fact that the death is not being investigated as suspicious, detectives from the serious crime division are collaborating with the office of the coroner and the office of the Ontario Fire Marshal to figure out what took place. In order to demonstrate respect for the desires that were made by the victim’s family, the police have said that they will not make public the identity of the person who was murdered.
The office of the coroner will conduct an autopsy, also known as a post-mortem examination, on the body of the deceased person in order to ascertain the reason(s) for the person’s passing and come to a conclusion regarding how the person passed away. The investigation into what caused the event to begin in the first place is being carried out right now by the Office of the Fire Marshal.
