Shirley Giarritta Obituary, Cumberland Cultural Foundation mourns the loss of Shirley Giarritta

Shirley Giarritta Obituary, Death – In spite of the fact that life itself is only fleeting, many people are able to keep their memories for the rest of their lives, making the production of memories one of the achievements of human existence. Even though a person’s memories can be preserved for their entire life, the experience of living itself is simply fleeting. While we investigate the report that Shirley Giarritta has passed away, we want to express our appreciation for your patience; the more information you are able to give us, the better. The statement that can be seen below indicates that the individual who brought the news of the death to our attention was a user on one of the many different social media platforms that are currently available.

Both the Cumberland Cultural Foundation and the C. William Gilchrist Museum of the Arts are mourning the loss of a member of our own community with heavy hearts. The absence of Shirley Giarritta, who was a great supporter of the arts in our town, is keenly felt by all of us. At this time, we want her family and friends to know that they are in our thoughts and prayers.

Shirley was a member of the Gilchrist Board for a good number of years and served as the committee chair for the artistic endeavors. Not only did she guide the committee in the production of stunning exhibitions, but she also cultivated relationships with artists and volunteers that were essential in bringing them to their current positions. Dear friend, we are going to miss having you here. Your ebullient personality is going to be dearly missed. ~ C. William Gilchrist Museum of the Arts
