- by Doris Lian
Stephanie Quigley Obituary, Death – Stephanie Quigley of Columbus Ohio sadly and unexpectedly passed away. Her birth took place on November 1 in Mount Vernon, Ohio, and she was the first child to be born to Stephen Thompson and Patricia (Dye) Collins. While attending Mount Vernon High School, where she later received her diploma, Stephanie was a member of the school’s cross country and track and field teams. Stephanie exuded an upbeat and contagious personality, and she was never seen without that unforgettable grin plastered across her face. She looked forward to the time she got to spend with her family and enjoyed it very much.
It didn’t make a difference to her whether it was a reunion, a holiday party, or even a family get together to watch the big Ohio State vs. Michigan game; what mattered the most to her was that she was able to talk and share with the people she cared about. For Stephanie, the most important thing was to make the most of the time she spent with her children by focusing on quality rather than quantity. They were the glimmer that brought life to her eyes, and the spring in her step was a direct result of their presence. She was known to be a compassionate and kind mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to many people, and this will be her legacy forever. Her legacy will continue on after her.
She is survived by her loving children, Michael Kupiec of Cincinnati, Ohio, Tricia Kupiec of Howard, and Seth Cochren of Howard; her devoted children; her father, Stephen Thompson of Mount Vernon (and his wife, Belinda); her mother, Patricia Collins of Walhonding; her maternal grandmother, Doris Dye; a brother, Shane Thompson (and his wife, Nellie Hatfield) of Mount Vernon; a sister, Sherry Baxter of Trinway. Her grandfather Curtis Dye, her grandfather Garnett Thompson, and her uncle Todd Thompson all passed away before she was born. Her maternal grandfather was named Curtis Dye. Garnett Thompson and Sally Finnegan were her grandfather and grandmother respectively on her father’s side.
